Application Guidelines for Native English Contract Lecturer
1.Recruitment Overview
(1)Position:English Language Contract Lecturer Candidate

- Main Duties :Responsible Subjects include: English Language Courses Basic Speaking I/II, Basic Listening I/II,
Basic Presentation & Discussion I/II, Advanced Speaking I/II, Advanced Listening I/II,
Advanced Presentation & Discussion I/II, Practical Communication I?IV, Project English I/II,
English Communication I/II, etc.
On-campus duties:MOGUMOGU activities, chaperoning students on overseas study trips, etc. - Number of Positions:1
- Position Title:Lecturer
- Contract Length:3 years (1 April 2026 - 31 March 2029)
Note: At the end of the contract, it may be possible to renew for a maximum total contract
length of five years.

3.Working Conditions
- Workplace :Hokuriku University, Taiyogaoka Campus
- Salary :¥4,800,000 (¥400,000/month) ~ ¥5,400,000(¥450,000/month)
- Allowances:Commuting allowance, etc. (Maximum ¥32,000)
- Bonus :Not provided
- Retirement Allowance:Not provided
- Social Insurance:Mutual Aid for Private Schools of Japan
- Working Hours:In principle 8:30 a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. (45-minute break)
professional discretionary labor system applies - Holidays/Vacation:Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, university foundation day (1 June), annual paid leave,
summer vacation, year-end and New Year holidays - Change of Workplace/Assignment:In principle, none

4. Application Qualifications
- Able to communicate in Japanese for work purposes
- Familiar with life and culture in English-speaking countries
- Holder of a TESOL degree or a Master’s degree or higher in Applied Linguistics or a related field in foreign
language acquisition - Sufficient enthusiasm and ability for student education and student development
- Deep academic knowledge and excellent teaching ability in the specialized field, and able to lecture in Japanese
- Willing to actively engage in public relations, university operations, etc. in addition to teaching and research
- Willing to teach not only specialized subjects but also subjects in related fields
- Able to relocate to within commuting distance of the university (Kanazawa City or nearby) after hiring
